Ocean Tower Implosion

South Padre Island, Texas. The Ocean Tower was set to be imploded at 9a.m. I crowd had been gathering since 6a.m. to see what would happen.

I woke up at 5 this day, showered and got ready for the early morning drive to the Island. I got there around 6 to get my press pass. The Valley Morning Star crew hung out for a good while. Even though the wait was long, it was well worth it.

At 9a.m. it started to get quiet, at 9:07a.m. a 5 second count down started. Then several loud explosion. The building collapsed.

It was a great site, I am thank full I got to see this. It may be a very long time till I get to see an implosion again.

Finally

I have time to write! I have been super busy with my damn website! It is down at the moment, because godaddy is dumb! I when through all this stuff to transfer my domain name from Google Apps to GoDaddy and in the process my website went down.

I cant seem to fix the problem just yet because I have no free time, not till Thursday (my one day off this coming week). So I guess Im going to have to spend my day off emailing Godaddy to try and fix this problem.

Well anyways, After a few days playing with my new camera I have to admit it is pretty good! I usually stay with Pentax camera, but I took a chance and bought that Canon Point and Shoot. I am very pleased with it! I is a lot better then I expected. It is not to the quality of my Pentax K10D but its okay its not a DSLR, its a Point&Shoot.

Canon Powershot SX120 IS is a camera I would recommend.

New Camera

As you can tell from the title, I have a new camera now! A Canon Powershot SX120 IS. I love it! I know it is going to be great for Tiffany and I's next vacation! I’m excited to say that I finally found a Point-&-Shoot that I am happy with.

I will still be carrying my big DSLR cameras but now I have a good camera I can take out anywhere I go! Without people giving me a weird look...lol.

The next vacation should be in January, but the place is still up in the air. I am thinking Houston or San Antonio. We have only been in San Antonio once and only for ONE day! I want to go to the zoo and actually go into the Alamo. So I guess we will see what happens.

Tiff and I haven’t really talked about this vacation too much because the end of her semester is coming up really quick so I have to give her the time she need to finish her work.

Cold and Rainy

The weather had been kind of nice the past two days. Its cold, which I love...but it has also been drizzling for the past two-day’s non-stop. I don’t mind if it rains, but when it never stops it makes me so lazy. I don’t want to wake up or go to work!

When I finally woke up today, I went outside to see how my pups were doing. They were out playing in the rain! I was amazed, since all day yesterday they stayed in the carport all bundled up. They were soaked! They looked like they were having so much fun!

Anyway, so I have been debating on whether to get a point-&-shoot camera or not. I can't seem to make up my mind! It sucks! I have looked at several cameras and I can't find what I want in my price range.

When I do find one I like, its price is high enough that it makes me think, "why get this if I could save just alittle more and get my new pro camera"

I am planing on going to BestBuy tomorrow to see the selection of camera they have. I have also thought about just getting a new lens for my DSLR. Basically why I am looking for a point-&-shoot camera is because I want a camera that is easy to use when I am looking to take a random picture of Tiff and I while we are out on Vacations.

Point-&-Shoot or New wide-angle lens! That is were I am at now! I guess if I don’t find a good point-&-shoot then ill look into the lenses more. Well see how that goes tomorrow.
